Patty Wagstaff Joins SAFE

The juggernaut continues, this time with a very high profile name throwing her support to the upstart SAFE program that pretty much dethroned NAFI as the voice of the flight instruction community.

Airshow pilot and three-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion Patty Wagstaff has joined the Society of Aviation & Flight Educators (SAFE). A flight instructor for 26 years, Wagstaff has been a long time spokesperson for aviation safety as well as an advocate for spin and unusual attitude training.

According to Wagstaff, "I was drawn to SAFE's governance ideals of accountability and transparency. These attributes are especially important for a member-driven organization -- I find it frustrating when members are not taken into account." She added, "I'm looking forward to being part of this new and dynamic organization!"

SAFE is the only group representing the nation's aviation educators in which members freely and fully elect their Board of Directors. Prospective members can join directly on the SAFE website, or by downloading an application form and mailing it in.
