Aero-TV: One Aviation’s Debut -- A Singular Attempt To Re-Build GA

After Year’s Of Hard Work And No Small Amount Of Hardship, Alan Klapmeier Is Building A New GA Empire

While at Sun ‘n Fun 2015, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, took the first day to stop and visit with an old friend.

Alan Klapmeier is the CEO of a newly formed company called, One Aviation. One Aviation markets the Eclipse 500 very light jet and the Kestrel 350 single-engine turboprop airplane.

When Jim asked Klapmeier about the overall goal of One Aviation, he was quick to respond that their goal is to do things differently and do things better. Klapmeier starts out by pointing to the company’s marketing two aircraft that are completely different.

Klapmeier tells Jim it’s their intent to go to the customer with the question of, “What do you need?” not with “Here’s what I’ve got.” He pointed out that’s why they have started the business with two significantly different products.

Klapmeier goes on to explain that Eclipse and Kestrel actually remain two separate production companies and are marketed through One Aviation. This establishes a business plan that is flexible and can best serve the customer.

Will One Aviation expand into other product lines? Watch the video, and you’ll see and hear about the aircraft and a unique marketing plan being explained by a veteran in the industry.
