Provides Clean, Regulated, ‘Wall Outlet’ Power To Passenger And Pilot Electronics
True Blue Power, a division of Mid-Continent Instrument Co., Inc., has announced a new economical, 250-watt inverter. The TI250 DC-to-AC Inverter provides 250 watts of clean, regulated, ‘wall outlet’ power from the aircraft’s 28 VDC input. The TI250 supplies power to the cabin and/or the cockpit and is ideal for powering laptops, iPads, tablets, chargers and special missions equipment.
The compact, 2.2-pound inverter is highly efficient. Engineered with a built-in ground fault interrupter (GFI), the sophisticated, fanless design saves energy and reduces weight without the need for external cooling. The TI250 is a safe and lightweight power source for a wide variety of electronic devices.
“This inverter provides onboard power for a broad spectrum of aircraft, from single engine pistons to business jets,” said Rick Slater, True Blue Power Division Manager. “It’s a cost effective solution that allows passengers and pilots to stay productive or entertained during flight without draining their device batteries or fear of power surges,” Slater added.
The TI250 is priced below its chief competitors and can be installed in the cockpit or multiple locations within the cabin, depending on the interior configuration of the aircraft. The TI250 (250 watt) inverter joins a growing family of True Blue Power products, including the TI10 (10 watt), TI500 (500 watt) and TI1200 (1200 watt) inverters.
The TI250 DC-to-AC Inverter will be on display throughout the 57th Annual Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Convention and Trade Show, March 12 – 15, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
