Installation Approved For Falcon 2000 And 2000EX
Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 avionics retrofit has received EASA certification for Dassault Falcon 2000 and Falcon 2000EX aircraft. Rockwell Collins and Switzerland-based RUAG Aviation will complete the first Falcon 2000 Pro Line 21 retrofit in Europe this summer.
The upgrade replaces the legacy Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays in Falcon 2000/2000EX aircraft with the latest in liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. Operators will benefit from the latest avionics capabilities for European operations while extending the life and enhancing the value of their aircraft.
“There are tremendous operational benefits gained when updating flight decks with Pro Line 21’s large LCD displays,” said Craig Olson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. “This includes enhanced situational awareness for flight crews and required display real estate for operating in rapidly modernizing airspace.”
The Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 display upgrade solution features four large, configurable 10 x 8 inch LCDs that are capable of displaying high-resolution electronic charts, graphical weather, enhanced navigation maps, and a soon-to-be-released synthetic vision option.
In addition, operators that upgrade to Pro Line 21 join a large and growing family of more than 4,500 aircraft operators that are positioned to accommodate future technology changes, including ADS-B out and mandates such as FANS 1/A, Link 2000+ and TCAS II Change 7.1, which are enabled by the system’s flexible architecture design.
The Falcon 2000/2000EX Pro Line 21 EASA retrofit STC, which is also available for Falcon 50EX aircraft, includes an upgrade to Rockwell Collins’ Flight Management System (FMS) for Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) GPS Localizer Performance with Vertical (LPV) guidance approaches and European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) Approach with Vertical (APV) guidance.
