Max-Viz Gains EASA STC Approval For King Airs

EVS Compatible With Video-Enabled Proline 21 Flight Decks

EASA has granted an STC to Max-Viz for the installation of Max-Viz-EVS-1500 Infra-red Enhanced Vision Systems on European Registered Hawker Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 Series aircraft as well as the King Air C90GT and GTi. Hawker Beechcraft King Airs join other technologically advanced high performance aircraft, such as Agusta Helicopters, in offering Max-Viz-EVS-1500 as a standard factory or aftermarket option to airframes registered throughout the EASA jurisdiction.

The Installation Kit for the EVS-1500 on King Air aircraft includes all components, (including IR Sensor and video capable EFB Display) and is applicable to aircraft equipped with video enabled Proline21. Retrofits to aircraft with certified video capable Multi-Function displays such as the Garmin G1000/G600/G500/G500H, Universal 890R, Avidyne R9 or a stand-alone video displays are available on request.

Also included in the kit on the flight deck is a standard connection for Video Capable Electronic Flight Bags as well as a video distribution amplifier to enable distribution of the EVS image on up to four compatible passenger cabin entertainment displays.

The Max-Viz EVS-1500 features pilot selectable optical (no resolution loss) dual fields of view—wide and narrow. A field of view switch is installed on the Premier style yoke and on the pedestal mounted EVS control panel.

Available exclusively from Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS), the EVS-1500 Installation Kit can be procured and installed by any King Air qualified service center.
