Two Chances To See Patty Wagstaff At SnF 2022

At SnF 2022, Only Two Chances Remain to See Patty Wagstaff in Action with her Extra 330, Weather Permitting

During the daytime airshow, on 8th and 10th April 2022.  Considering she only does about 10-12 shows per year, this year you are in for a treat.

Patty Wagstaff is a world-renowned aerobatic pilot, got her start in aviation in Alaska where she started taking flying lessons, eventually earning a CFII, commercial Rotorcraft, and type ratings in the TBM Avenger, T-28, and L-39.  She rose to prominence in 1991 when she won the first of her three U.S. National Aerobatic Championships and was the first woman to win that championship.

Ms Wagstaff won the Betty Skelton First Lady of Aerobatics award six times in a row, and was both the top-scoring US pilot at the World Aerobatics Championship and the winner of the Charlie Hillard Trophy in 1996. Over the years, Ms. Wagstaff continued to rack up an assortment of awards, and in 2004 was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame. Ms. Wagstaff was a Raytheon/Beechcraft demo pilot and also served as stunt pilot/aerial coordinator for the film industry.

Since 2001, Ms. Wagstaff has been traveling to Kenya to lead recurrency and aerobatic training to pilots of the Kenyan Wildlife Service who protect the wildlife and other natural resources.  For a couple of years, she flew the OV-10 Bronco for the California Fire service, and a year later in 2013, started the Patty Wagstaff Aerobatic Safety (PWAS) aerobatic school in St. Augustine, Florida which she has called home for many years. Ms. Wagstaff also partnered with Sportys to produce educational videos on aerobatics which were released in 2020.
