NBAA To Offer Global Entry Program Interviews With CPB At Convention

Allows Simplified Entry Into The U.S. For International Business Travelers

International business travelers seeking simplified entry into the United States will have the opportunity to meet in-person with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents at the 2013 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2013), so they can be enrolled in CBP's “Global Entry” program.

Global Entry allows expedited clearance processing into the U.S. for pre-approved, low-risk travelers using automated kiosks available at 34 U.S. airports, eight pre-clearance airports in Canada, and two pre-clearance sites in Ireland. The Global Entry program has proven highly popular among international businesspeople whose travel frequently takes them outside the U.S. Approved international travelers arriving at Global Entry airports may present their machine-readable passport or U.S. permanent resident card at an automated kiosk. Upon further verification of the traveler’s identity and a customs declaration, the kiosk issues a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to a baggage claim and the exit from an airport’s Customs processing center.

The process for scheduling a Global Entry interview at NBAA2013 will be the following:

  • Apply for enrollment in the Global Entry program with CBP by Sept. 30.
  • First-time users will be required to create an account with the CBP’s Global Online Enrollment System (GOES), and a $100 non-refundable processing fee is due when submitting the online application. The application will then be reviewed by CBP. Visit GOES now.
  • Register for NBAA2013. Only badged attendees will be able to access the CBP interview facility.
  • After CBP pre-approval, schedule an interview during NBAA2013.

Once the CBP has completed their initial review, applicants will be notified, through GOES, that they are “conditionally approved” for Global Entry and may enroll for an interview. Attendees should select the "NBAA – Las Vegas” location through GOES to schedule their interview during the Convention.
