DAC International GDC64 Interfaces With Freeflight Systems’ RANGR Series

Allows Presentation Of Detailed Information On iOS Devices

DAC International has successfully interfaced the GDC64 with FreeFlight Systems’ RANGR series units to allow presentation of ADS-B traffic, weather and other information on an iPad using FreeFlight Systems’ ADS-B View App currently available for download on iTunes.

In conjunction with the GDC64 interface, FreeFlight Systems’ ADS-B View App is a NextGen airspace app that provides access to ADS-B graphical weather, traffic and other ADS-B services to those aircraft equipped with FreeFlight Systems’ ADS-B receiver and transceiver systems such as the RANGR FDL-978-XVR/RX.

Using the GDC64 dedicated serial port ADS-B data is passed from the RANGR to the iPad via the USB port.

DAC International's GDC64 was specifically designed as an Aircraft Interface Device to give the iPad the data it can use in order to be the tool it should be without the cumbersome Wi-Fi devices. Simply plug your iPad into the connector coming from a convenient location in the cockpit.

“We’re really excited to be able to offer this product to our customers. This provides customers with a wired solution to get ADS-B data onto their iPads without Wi-Fi requirements,” said Cisco Hernandez, President of DAC International.
