Aviall Receives Lifetime CF34-3 Parts Supply Contract

Exclusive Deal To Handle Spare Parts Worldwide

Boeing subsidiary Aviall Services announced last week it has entered into an exclusive worldwide aftermarket distribution agreement with General Electric for unique spare parts of the popular GE CF34-3 aircraft engines for the remaining life of the engine.

Aviall plans to assume these spare part distribution responsibilities to CF34-3 customers over the next few months. The CF34-3 engines power the Bombardier CRJ100/200 regional jets and the popular Bombardier Challenger models 601 and 604 business jet.

More than 1,650 CF34-3-powered aircraft are in service in both airline fleets and business jets applications and have accumulated more than 24 million flight hours.

Aviall will be responsible for forecasting, ordering, and delivering all genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts that are unique to CF34-3 engines and will assume responsibility for documentation management, worldwide inventory deployment, warehousing, and product distribution. GE will continue to provide all life limited parts (LLPs) for the CF34-3 engine and will retain technical responsibility for these engines.

Also, as a key feature of its service, Aviall will support the GE CF34-3 engine spare part sales analysis, line item forecasting, production planning, and sales intelligence systems as well as end-customer requirement planning, advance provisioning, and supply-chain administrative needs.

"We are extremely pleased by the continued confidence General Electric Company has demonstrated by joining with us in another new partnership," said Paul E. Fulchino, Aviall's president. "This exclusive lifetime service provider agreement with such a proven leader within our industry builds upon and acknowledges the highest customer service and supplier standards within the industry that are offered by Aviall."

"For the last three years, Aviall has demonstrated its excellence in customer service as the exclusive distributor of unique spare parts for GE's CF6-50 and CF6-80A engine lines," said Tom Gentile, vice president and general manager of GE Aviation's Services organization. "Based on the success of this relationship, we are confident our CF34-3 customers will receive the same high quality level of access and support for their OEM spare parts."
