King Air Makes Successful Emergency Landing

Circles Near Dallas-Love For an Hour

The pilot of a 1978 C-90 King Air made a gorgeous landing yesterday at dinnertime, putting the bird down straight, and holding it just so, until it made the turn onto a taxiway, all by itself.

The pilot had indicated engine trouble; then the starboard gear wouldn't go down. He approached for landing with the right engine feathered. There was no fire; the runway was closed for a short time, as the hulk was removed from traffic areas.

There were no reported injuries in the DAL drama. The machine is registered to Seven Bar Flying Service, of Albuquerque (NM).
