PS Engineering Audio Panel Prices 'Cleared For Lower'

Company Cranks Up Features On Direct Replacement Panels

Just in time for summer flying season, PS Engineering has lowered the prices on popular Plug and Play audio panels, while standardizing some options. Just to be sure you don’t miss this opportunity, they are offering a Free Flight Trial offer, and an incentive to your avionics shop to make the switch.

Thanks to continuing improvements in productivity, PS Engineering is able to reduce prices on PMA8000B, PMA8000BT, while making the Bluetooth Streamer standard in PMA8000G and PMA450A flagship audio panels. The Streamer module (a $150 value) sends cockpit audio to recording device like compatible GoPro cameras.

The bullet points:

  • The PMA450A Audio Panel with OLED Display, dynamic IntelliAudio and unprecedented
  • flexibility now includes a PS Bluetooth Streamer at no charge. The list price of a PMA8000B Audio Panel with front panel music jack is reduced to $1,495.00
  • The list price of a PMA8000BT Audio Panel with Bluetooth connectivity is reduced to $1,795.00
  • The list price of a PMA800G with flightmate, USB Charger and Bluetooth is reduced to $2,095.00,
  • and now includes Bluetooth Streamer at no charge

PS Engineering is offering a Free Flight Trial to encourage owners of legacy audio panels like the Garmin GMA340 to experience the benefits of the latest utility and features. According to company founder, Mark Scheuer, “There are so many benefits in controlling our own destiny. Quality control, product availability, and quick engineering turns, are a few. The big benefit is we can control our cost to manufacture.

“Our building and offices are not fancy, truth be told, we have a gravel parking lot and a railroad right behind our building. But it's not fancy buildings that make a great product, it’s the people behind those four walls that do. And that's exactly how we remain the leader of the pack.

“Each year our products become more capable, electronics become smaller, and new technologies create new challenges.” Continues Scheuer, “To keep ahead in the ever changing world of electronics, we invested heavily in state-of-the-art electronic manufacturing, over the past two years. This has allowed us to realize a substantial reduction in our manufacturing costs.”

This investment has paid off, and increased efficiency is passed along to the consumers with these cost reductions on the most popular audio panels, Scheuer said.

PS Engineering dealers will let their customers try a new audio panel that is a direct replacement for their GMA340. In addition, we believe that is a win-win program for all involved. The Audio Panels referenced as Plug and Play are slide-in replacement units that require no additional wiring unless additional features are desired. The benefits of the newer audio panels, such as Bluetooth connectivity, IntelliAudio, and PS Streamer, etc. are instantly available to the owner.

The PMA450A and PMA8000-series are Plug n Play, slide in replacements for the Garmin GMA340 and older PMA8000 audio panels (except PMA8000-SR). Because all these units meet the same certification basis, this is considered a minor alteration.
