Will Deliver Post NBAA Report And Industry Update December 9

Following an up-beat NBAA convention held in October in Atlanta, Piper Executive Vice President Randy Groom (pictured, right) will be the featured guest speaker at the regular bi-monthly meeting of the Atlanta Aero Club December 9.

Groom joined Piper Aircraft in June, 2010 as Executive Vice President, after serving as founder and president of Groom Aviation. His extensive aviation experience includes senior executive positions with Hawker Beechcraft Corp. (formerly Raytheon Aircraft Company), where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including President of Global Customer Service and Support and President of Beechcraft.

Groom also held several senior sales and executive positions with Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation, Inc. culminating in his appointment as Senior Vice President after serving as Vice President of Aircraft Sales and in other management positions for Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation/Piedmont Aviation Services.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S. and M.B.A. in Marketing, Groom is an instrument-rated commercial pilot and has logged more than 10,000 accident-free hours in his 40 years of flying - 18 of those years as an aircraft owner. Groom worked his way through university as a flight instructor and charter pilot and was one of the youngest flight instructors for the U.S. Air Force at age 19

The meeting is scheduled for 1200 on December 9th in the Grand Ballroom of the Capital City Club in downtown Atlanta.
