Era Group Inc. Accepts First Baseline S-92 Helicopter

First Of Four Aircraft Ordered In January Last Year

Era Group recently accepted delivery of a baseline S-92 helicopter. The announcement was made at the 2015 Helicopter Association International Heli-Expo show.

In January of 2014, Era signed a multi-year contract for four S-92 helicopters, and today they accepted delivery of the first aircraft from that order. Era also has an option in the contract for five additional S-92 helicopters.

"We are proud to see Era expand its fleet with the S-92 helicopter," said David Martin, Director, Energy & Oil sector, Commercial Systems & Services. "This Sikorsky addition marks the beginning of an exciting future for both companies."

"Considered to be the ultimate in comfort, safety and mission-flexibility, the S-92 will enhance our existing partnerships and position us to broaden our customer base," said Chris Bradshaw, Chief Executive Officer of Era Group. "We are confident that the numerous safety features, combined with the aircraft's advanced capabilities, will exceed the expectations of our customers and add further diversification to our fleet."

Sikorsky has delivered more than 240 S-92 helicopters to customers throughout the world. In 2014, Sikorsky celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the S-92 helicopter, which was first delivered in 2004. The fleet has reached more than 800,000 flight hours, with nearly 90 percent of those hours providing offshore oil and gas worker transportation. S-92 helicopters also perform search and rescue missions, heads of state missions, and a variety of transportation missions for utility and airline passengers.
