HAI Offers Additional Member Services

The Helicopter Association International has announced new course offerings related to their Professional Education Series. This summer, HAI will be taking three of their courses “on the road” to Ontario, California, beginning July 11, 2006.

The Safety Management Course is a three-day course that provides students with the essential skills and materials required to develop, implement, and manage an organizational safety system. The course conforms to guidelines set forth in the Operator’s Flight Safety Handbook, developed by the FAA.  The Safety Management Course will be offered July 11-13.

Coping with Crisis – Managing an Aviation Disaster will be offered on July 12. This course will help students to prepare and implement a crisis management plan in case of an aviation disaster. Topics covered include crisis containment, accident investigations, family assistance, crisis public relations, and handling the news media.

Defining Direct Operating Costs is directed towards those organizational leaders who deal with the finances of the company. This course will help students learn how to control and manage the costs associated with a helicopter operation, and will be offered on July 13.

All courses will be held at the Marriott Ontario Airport Hotel, 2200 East Holt Blvd., Ontario, California.
