New Facility At DVT Offers Twice As Much Space
BBA Aviation Engine Repair and
Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive has relocated its Phoenix
area Regional Turbine Center (RTC) from Scottsdale Airpark (SDL) to
a new, larger facility adjacent to Deer Valley Airport (DVT) in
North Phoenix. The facility is open for business.
"The transition from the old facility to new was flawless," said
BBA Aviation ERO Vice President of Customer Service and Global
Regional Turbine Centers Mike Cumnock. "At 7,500 square feet, our
new facility offers twice the space of our old facility. We need
this to accommodate the growth in demand for repair services and
the new technicians we added in 2008."
The Phoenix RTC performs OEM-authorized repairs including hot
section inspections on Pratt & Whitney PT6A and JT15D turbines
and repairs and overhauls on Rolls-Royce Model 250 turboshaft
engines. The RTC can also dispatch field service technicians to
remote locations to perform on-site services for turbine engine
operators.
"Our customers value a regional presence and the prompt,
technical service it can provide," continued Cumnock. "Our new
location will continue to offer rapid response throughout Phoenix
and the Western region of the US. And now with more technical
representatives, we will be able to provide service to even more
operators."
Dallas Airmotive operates a total of 10 Regional Turbine
Centers, nine in the US and one in England. RTCs offer quick turn
service on some of the most popular engines used in business and
general aviation. Engine services vary by location and include
PT6A, JT15D, PW300, PW500, RR250, TFE731 and Honeywell 36 APU.
