Photos Of The Giant Valentine Can Win A Free Flight
Airship Ventures sent hearts soaring above LA with a
Valentine's makeover and special flights of the world's largest
airship, Eureka. The zeppelin has been sporting a three-story
heart on her envelope since February 5 to promote the events.
The lovebird packages made good sense to the husband and wife
team that founded Airship Ventures in 2007. The couple has
seen a lot of customers on their zeppelin in its first year of
operation in the US and says love tops the list of reasons to
fly.
"Romance is among the most popular reasons people climb aboard
Eureka-- first dates, anniversaries, proposals, weddings, you name
it, we've celebrated them all on board," noted Airship Ventures CEO
Alexandra Hall. "We wanted to show some love to Southern
California, as well as remind locals that whether they are popping
the question, renewing vows or just toasting the town with their
sweetheart, we're here to help them make their Valentine's heart
soar."
The Valentine's Day flight options ranged from "fun and flirty"
30 minute voyages to "long-term commitment" 2-hour sunset and
coastal tours. Every romantic journey included a champagne toast
and spectacular views of Southern California aboard the only
zeppelin operating in the US.
While lovebirds soar, airship aficionados on the ground are
invited to capture the love on camera for a chance to win a flight.
Photographers of the top-3 heart-filled images of the Zeppelin
flying above Southern California will each win a pair of tickets to
fly aboard Eureka. Shutterbugs can track Eureka at the
Airship Ventures Web site. The deadline for submitting photos
to the contest is February 19.
