Got a great note from our friends at Pipistrel... they're offering you something pretty exciting to occupy your time while you're sheltering in place. Anybody, whether student pilot, pilot, flight instructor or aviation enthusiast, flying clubs, flight schools can apply and join Pipistrel online courses free-of-charge for a period of 3 months, from April 2020 until end of June 2020.

This unique offer is available worldwide to all, including to non-pilots who are interested in aviation. The latest generation of LSAs are becoming a greater part of the flight training segment by the day. The economics, simplicity, and updated designs have become fast favorites for discriminating flight students looking to learn to fly in an aircraft that represents modern thinking. After completing some 600 Bristell sport aircraft since 2008, and 120 just last year, Bristell’s new 915 Speedster is here in the states and starting to prove what a few more horsepower can do for the right airframe. The new 141 HP Rotax 915iS Turbo-charged engine has turned a great flying little airplane into a real tiger. A respected collegiate flight training program has gotten itself into a major kerfuffle with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Central Oregon Community College (COCC) has sued the VA, claiming that the agency incorrectly billed them for some $3.2 million. According to the suit, "Following a lengthy but incomplete compliance survey and through a series of debt collection notices sent to COCC, the VA arbitrarily and incorrectly claimed that COCC's actions caused the VA to overpay on behalf of COCC's student-veterans for flight training education. The VA is seeking reimbursement from COCC in the approximate amount of $3 .2 million. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
