Idaho TSA Director Resigns Following Indecent Exposure Charge

Police Say Man Stripped Naked At Hotel

Officially, Douglas Craig Melvin resigned his post at the Federal Security Director for the Transportation Security Administration in Boise, ID for "personal reasons"... but his decision likely had something to do with an incident early last week at an Idaho Falls hotel.

Boise television station KTVB-7 reports Melvin, 48, was arrested after he allegedly entered the swimming area at a Fairfield Inn on the night of February 19, removed his clothes and proceeded to walk naked around the pool -- in full view of hotel employees and guests.

According to police reports, Melvin performed other indecent acts, as well -- including those the police say indicated a motive to "satisfy personal need or desire." And... we'll leave it at that.

Police add alcohol was a factor in the incident. Melvin resigned from TSA Wednesday, and his access to secure areas at Boise International Airport has been revoked.

We imagine he's no longer welcome at the hotel, either...
