Source: Judy Willey, Oregon International Air Show president, at a meeting Thursday of the Hillsboro Airport Issues Roundtable on potential changes in the aftermath of the July 16, 2006 crash of a vintage Hawker Hunter that was departing the show. Willey says show organizers will place restrictions on warbirds in the wake of the accident. There is some question, however, if the popular air show will continue in the face of opposition from neighbors who question the safety of the show... and those who complain about the day-to-day noise at the busy airport. Officials expect to reach a final decision on the airport's future in November.
