Lincoln Is A Private Pilot Based At Lyncrest Airport In Winnipeg
Raquel Lincoln, EAA Lifetime 1306824, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, who has extensive involvement in Canadian aviation activities and organizations, has accepted the leadership for EAA’s Canadian Council.
The EAA Canadian Council is the primary connection and advisory group between EAA headquarters and the association’s thousands of Canadian members.
“Raquel’s many connections to Canadian aviation organizations and her knowledge of issues facing recreational aviation pilots in Canada will be a tremendous benefit to the EAA members we serve there,” said Jack J. Pelton, EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board. “Her leadership of the EAA Canadian Council will help us increase the opportunities for EAA members in all areas, from aircraft building and restoration to introducing young people to aviation, as well as enjoying the world of flight in all its facets.”
Lincoln is a private pilot based at Lyncrest Airport in Winnipeg. She serves as the secretary/treasurer and Young Eagles coordinator for EAA Chapter 63 and is the outgoing chairperson of the Air Cadet League of Canada (Manitoba). In addition, as executive director for the Manitoba Aviation Council, Raquel builds relationships and advocates for Manitoba's aviation industry.
“Aviation draws passionate people who enjoy the unique possibilities within flight, and it’s a community I truly enjoy and want to enhance,” Lincoln said. “Volunteering in EAA programs such as Young Eagles and AeroEducate has shown me even more opportunities for aviators and future aviators in Canada, which is a major reason I look forward to chairing the EAA Canadian Council.”
Lincoln succeeds Jeff Seaborn, who had served as EAA Canadian Council chair since 2019.
