Micron Technology CEO in Plane Crash

Steve Appleton, employee Michael Duffy in stable condition

The CEO of Micron Technology Inc., a computer technology firm, and one of his employees were involved in a crash south of Boise (ID) on Thursday evening. Steve Appleton and Micron employee Michael Duffy are in stable condition after Appleton's Extra 300 (described by the mainstream media as an "aerobatic biplane, of all things...) went down in a field.

Luckily for both, their injuries were not serious and both are expected to make full recoveries. The airplane, however, was a total loss.  Appleton is expected to leave the hospital shortly and return to work on Monday. A Micron spokesperson said both Appleton and Duggy left the aircraft on their own after the crash.

Witnesses said the Extra 300 was doing loops just before it crashed near Pleasant Valley Road. Both of them were airlifted to a Boise hospital.
