NBAA Announces New Board Officers Shine And Reagan

Elected At 2008 Convention In Orlando

Members of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) recently confirmed the appointment of two new officers to NBAA's Board of Directors, during the organization's 61st annual meeting and convention in Orlando, FL.

Richard Shine, CEO of Manitoba Recycling, and Dr. Charles Reagan, associate to the president at Kansas State University, will each serve three-year terms on the 18-member Board.

"NBAA's Board of Directors remains focused on considering eligible candidates for the Board who, in addition to having a working knowledge of the Association and the issues affecting the businesses aviation community, can help ensure diversity in terms of geography, size of company, and professional expertise and experiences," said NBAA Board Chairman Jeff Lee. "We welcome Richard and Charles, and we know NBAA's Board and Membership will benefit from their perspectives."

Shine has been a Member of NBAA since 1995 and has said that his family-owned, Lancaster, NY-based recycling business would not exist today were it not for his airplane, a Mitsubishi MU-2. He flew for six years on active duty with the US Air Force, reaching the rank of colonel and flying for the local reserve unit in Niagara Falls.

Dr. Charles Reagan joins the NBAA Board of Directors with 38 years of experience in both aviation and education. Reagan is the associate to the president of Kansas State University, where he also oversees the flight department and serves as captain for the university's Cessna CitationJet. A professor of philosophy, Reagan is also a commuter airline pilot, charter pilot and flight instructor. He received the Kansas Governor's Aviation Award in 2007.

Also re-elected to three-year terms are the following Board members: Steven A. Busch, CEO of Krey Distributing Company; Patrick Cunningham, director of aviation for PepsiCo, Inc.; Elizabeth Dornak, manager of charter operations and compliance for DuPont Aviation; Ron Duncan, president and CEO of General Communications, Inc.; Bonnie Hathcock, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Humana, Inc.; Michael Herman, chairman of North American Communications, Inc.; and Monte Koch, global head of real estate investment banking for Deutsche Bank.
