Prince William Now A Civilian Pilot

Starts Work For Bond Air Services In The U.K.

It's not as if he needs the job, really, but Prince William has started his new position as a helicopter pilot for Bond Air Services in the U.K.

In a statement released Monday, Kensington Palace said "The Duke of Cambridge has today started work as an employee of Bond Air Services.

"Over the coming months he will undertake job-specific training before he begins piloting missions for East Anglian Air Ambulance during the summer.

"The mandatory training will involve simulator, aircraft and in-flight skills training."

The Royal Family said in August that this job will be the Duke's primary occupation, but his roster will take into account the duties and responsibilities he will continue to undertake on behalf of The Queen, both in the United Kingdom and overseas. The Duke will also continue his work with his patronages and with the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
