Christopher A. Hart, acting chairman of the NTSB and President Obama’s nominee to head the agency, will speak at the Opening General Session of NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2014), which runs Oct. 21 to 23 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
“We welcome Acting Chairman Hart (pictured) to NBAA2014, and are excited to hear his thoughts and perspectives on safety issues affecting our industry,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “His appearance continues a long tradition of NTSB representatives speaking during the convention, and underscores NBAA’s commitment to aviation safety.”
Hart was sworn in as a member of the NTSB Board in August 2009 and designated by President Obama for a two-year term as vice chairman of the board later that month. He was nominated by Obama for a second term as board member in August 2013 and a third term as vice chairman in October 2013.
