Embraer’s Eve Brings Leads Collaboration in Rio For UAM

The Workgroup Will Introduce and Accelerate Market Growth In Brazil

Embraer’s Eve Urban Mobility is working alongside its partners and the government to develop  new concepts for Urban Air Mobility, taking place in Rio de Janeiro. Eve will lead a workgroup that forms an impressive collaboration with big goals for UAM in Brazil. The data gathered hopes to guide operations of the future of UAM.

Two major players in Brazil are coordinating with Eve: Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency and Brazil’s Department of Airspace Control. Together they will work with existing infrastructure and air traffic management to enable UAM through development and upcoming technology.

The heavy hitting collaboration also includes partners such as Helisul Aviation, one of the largest helicopter operations in Latin America; Skyports, a company that designs, builds and operates vertiports; Flapper, a platform for on demand flights and EDP, on of the largest companies in energy.

The goal of working together is to safely introduce and accelerate the UAM market’s growth in Brazil. Support will come from RIOgaleão, and Brazilian Association of General Aviation. "We want to explore new and practical concepts to facilitate the safe introduction of the urban air mobility industry in Brazil. In this initial stage, we will describe the main characteristics and requirements of the ecosystem, from the perspective of the users, partners, entities and government departments involved," said André Stein, Eve's CEO. "According to concept evolution, we will conceive how to enable the purpose of democratizing urban air mobility in a safe, economical and accessible way."

This first simulation is planned for the end of the year in Rio de Janeiro. Eve’s aircraft will be fully electric, community-friendly with zero carbon emissions and low noise.
