Czech Sport Aircraft Reported To Be Insolvent

Established in 2008, CSA Has Produced Nearly 700 Aircraft

Media reports filed in the Czech Republic have reported that Czech Sport Aircraft is deeply in debt and reportedly filed for insolvency late last month -- though the company makes no mention of this on their website. This is not the first time this company has run into serious financial trouble, but has heretofore recovered from prior skirmishes with financial difficulties. Currently; CSA is reported to owe creditors 62.6 million crowns, which allegedly exceeds its total value.

145.5 Pounds Of Methamphetamine Captured, With An Estimated Street Value Of $327,375

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Calexico Station seize methamphetamine in an Ultralight Aircraft smuggling attempt on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m., when Border Patrol agents observed an Ultralight Aircraft flying at a low altitude west of Highway 111 and south of Jasper Road. Agents responded to the area and located a white duffle bag and a metal basket on a field road 200 yards south of Jasper Rd. Inside the duffle bag, agents discovered 26 clear plastic containers containing a white crystal like substance.

NASA Confirms James Webb Space Telescope Launch Date

Testing Of The Observatory Continues To Go Well

NASA now is targeting Oct. 31, 2021, for the launch of the agency's James Webb Space Telescope from French Guiana, due to impacts from the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as technical challenges. This decision is based on a recently completed schedule risk assessment of the remaining integration and test activities prior to launch. Previously, Webb was targeted to launch in March 2021.

NTSB Prelim: Lancair Lancair ES-P

Airplane Left A 200-Ft Swath Through A Corn Field

On July 6, 2010, about 1205 central daylight time, a Lancair ES-P, N444TW, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. The pilot received minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot's accident report, he departed the University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport, Norman, Oklahoma, approximately 1130 for a flight to the Ardmore, Oklahoma, area and return.

ANN's Daily Aero-Term (07.19.20): Compulsory Reporting Points

Compulsory Reporting Points Reporting points which must be reported to ATC. They are designated on aeronautical charts by solid triangles or filed in a flight plan as fixes selected to define direct routes. These points are geographical locations which are defined by navigation aids/fixes. Pilots should discontinue position reporting over compulsory reporting points when informed by ATC that their aircraft is in “radar contact.”
