Announces Customer Care Program For Affected Customers
Wednesday, ANN reported on the move by Chelton distributor Direct-To
Avionics (D2A) to recall systems utilizing the Crossbow Technology
425EX AHRS, as well D2A's decision to stop furnishing the 425EX as
part of its future experimental Chelton EFIS systems.
In a letter to its customers Friday, Crossbow responded to that
recall.
LTG H Steven Blum is the Chief of the National Guard Bureau --
the top man in the organization that ties together the 50
State and four Territorial National Guards in the USA. And he wants
everybody to know how proud he is of his part-time servicemembers
-- especially the helicopter ground and flight crews.
They didn't want it at first... but NATCA acknowledged this
week that contract talks between the air traffic controllers union
and the FAA have deteriorated almost to the point of no return, and
has requested a federal mediator to step in.
Keep at it. That's the message US Bankruptcy Court Judge Allan
Gropper gave to negotiators for Northwest Airlines and its pilots
and flight attendants unions Friday, postponing for a second time
a ruling on whether Northwest can toss out its existing
contracts with those unions.
"Cormorant" To Be Launched From Ballistic Missile
Subs
CNN reported Friday that Lockheed-Martin's fabled Skunk Works --
of U-2 and SR-71 fame -- is now working on an unmanned spy aircraft
called the Cormorant, that would start and end its missions 150
feet underwater.
Have you ever been off-roading? Is it a blast or what? But what
about in an airplane? Gotta admit I came close last week when I had
a blowout on landing, but by and large, I'm a pavement kinda
guy.
737-Based Aircraft Will Be Able To Launch Missiles, Mines,
Torpedoes
Boeing this month successfully completed P-8A Multi-mission
Maritime Aircraft (MMA) weapons separation wind tunnel tests at the
Arnold Air Force Base Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma,
TN.
Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) is the most critical engine
indication, as far as longevity is concerned. Oil temperature
control, on the other hand, is vital for both short- and long-term
engine health. The most overlooked component to engine
cylinder and oil temperature management is no
secret—it’s baffling.
