Congratulations, Cessna!

Company's Propeller Field Services Receives FAA Award

Cessna Aircraft Company's Propeller Aircraft Field Services has received the Certificate of Excellence, Phase V, Diamond Award for having 100 percent employee participation in the Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) awards program. In recognition of this outstanding achievement, Cessna's Propeller Aircraft Field Services received a plaque by Felix Lococo, the Wichita Flight Standards District Officer (FSDO) Manager, on behalf of FAA Administrator Marion Blakely.

Cessna's Director of Product Support Steve Charles commented, "This award substantiates our customer commitment to provide the best product support in the industry. With over 150,000 Cessna propeller aircraft to take care of, the Propeller Field Service team is essential in maintaining the fleet and providing quality customer service. We are very proud of everyone on the Propeller Field Service team for their hard work and dedication."

The Diamond Award of Excellence is the highest maintenance award given by the FAA to any aviation company that attains involvement of at least 25 percent of their total work force in the AMT program during the calendar year. Cessna greatly exceeded the FAA's 25 percent involvement award requirement, and achieved 100 percent employee participation.

The Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards program is designed to encourage AMTs and their employers to participate in the awards program each year. Continuous participation in the FAA Safety Program for airworthiness training will reinforce and foster the high level of professionalism in the aviation industry.
