Greg Poe Remembered During Idaho Air Show

Stunt Pilot Passed Away In July

Greg Poe had been scheduled to be a headliner for the Cascade Air Show in Idaho Saturday, but following his untimely death on July 24th, the show instead became a tribute to the well-known performer, his life, and his passion for flight.

The air show community was stunned when Poe died following a heart attack last month. He was known for complicated routines in a trademark red ethanol-powered stunt plane. He had also founded the "Elevate Your Life" program after losing his son to a heroin addiction in 2002.

Television station KTVB reports that the organizers of the Cascade Air show decided to dedicate the event Saturday to the memory of Poe. "There's just thousand upon thousands of people that he touched," said Poe's team coordinator Greg Gibson.
