Modern Aviation Acquires Three FBO Operations

All Employees Retain Positions

Modern Aviation, an FBO concern busily building a national network of first-rate FBO properties, has finalized its acquisition of three Northeast U.S.A. FBOs: Mystic Jet Center, LLC, which operates Mystic Jet Center at Groton, Connecticut’s Groton-New London Airport (GON); Columbia Air Services-BHB, LLC, which operates Columbia Air Services at Trenton, Maine’s Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport (BHB); and Columbia Air Services-RUT, LLC, which operates Columbia Air Services at Rutland, Vermont’s Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport (RUT).

Modern Aviation’s CEO Mark Carmen, stated, “We are thrilled to have officially expanded our footprint in the Northeast. On behalf of Modern Aviation, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new team members and customers at these three terrific locations. We look forward to continuing Mystic Jet Center’s and Columbia Air Services’ history of providing outstanding customer service and safety.”

The entirety of the three acquired FBO’s employees have retained their positions, and are now members of Modern Aviation’s workforce.

With the addition of the aforementioned locations, Modern Aviation’s North American presence comprises a total of 16 FBO operations, including facilities at: Wilmington North Carolina’s Wilmington International Airport (ILM); Denver, Colorado’s Centennial Airport (APA); Seattle, Washington’s Boeing Field International Airport (BFI); San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport (SIG); New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA); Long Island, New York’s Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) and Francis S. Gabreski Airport (FOK); East Farmingdale, New York’s Republic Airport (FRG); Sacramento, California’s Sacramento Mather Airport (MHR) and Sacramento International Airport (SMF); and glorious Des Moines, Iowa’s Des Moines International Airport (DSM).
