Ouch! Man Pulls Military Helo With His Ear

You Heard Us Right

Now, we've heard of everything. Former wrestling champion Lasha Pataraia earned place in the record books this weekend by pulling a 17,015 pound Russian Mil-8 helicopter (type shown below) over 28 yards... using just his left ear.

Media reports say the Georgian 27-year-old set the record on his third attempt. Pataria had a rope attached to his ear, apparently braced by a taped splint for cushioning. The other end of the rope was fastened to the wheeled helo's nosegear.

"I am very happy and satisfied," Pataraia said of his 20-second pull, which was cheered on by a crowd of family, friends and supporters in Tbilisi.

But he isn't THAT satisfied... as minutes after the record attempt, he said he was already planning another attempt.

"I intend to double the weight and pull the helicopter with two ears," he said. "I hope to do that in one year's time."

Organizers of the event said Pataraia set both the world and Guinness records for... well, we guess, pulling things with one's ear. The latter likely won't make the record book, however, as a representative from Guiness Book of Records wasn't present.

Maybe he just didn't hear about it?
