NetJets Announces Latest Innovation in Fractional A/C
Ownership
Here's some aggressive
marketing that should get a few folks to look closer at Air
Chartering... NetJets has announced that beginning February 1,
2004, it will expand the operating area for its Gulfstream IV-SP
and Gulfstream V aircraft, allowing the company to waive ferry
charges for owners of these aircraft when flying aboard these
aircraft. The ferry charge waiver applies to flights that originate
or terminate in the continental US.
"At NetJets we recognize that our NetJets owners frequently use
our large cabin aircraft for international travel," said Richard
Santulli, Chairman and CEO of NetJets.
"This is another
example of NetJets being responsive to the needs of our owners by
providing them the ability to use NetJets aircraft when pursuing
international business opportunities or as a quality of life
offering."
NetJets is the largest buyer of long range private jets in the
world. NetJets today operates over 75 large cabin aircraft
including the Falcon 2000, Gulfstream IV-SP, Gulfstream and the
Boeing Business Jet.
In 2003, NetJets will fly more than 250,000 flights to over 140
different countries. Always an innovator, NetJets continues to
provide a varied array of offerings for its customers. In 2002, the
Marquis Jet Card program was launched to offer access to the
NetJets fleet through a short-term prepaid lease. NetJets is also
the worldwide leader in on-demand charter and aircraft management
services through its subsidiary Executive Jet Management
that manages over 100 aircraft for businesses and individuals who
would rather own their own private business jets.
In addition, in an Aviation Research Group US Inc. (ARG/US) 2003
study, NetJets received the highest rating of all fractional
aircraft ownership programs. It ranked highest on 28 of 30
comparative criteria, further testimony to the quality of the
NetJets product and the long term investment of Richard Santulli
and Warren Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Company,
who acquired NetJets in 1998.
