Levil Aviation Announces 'The Beacon'

Meets ADS-B Out Mandate For Experimental Airplanes And LSAs

Levil Aviation is excited to announce The Beacon. A 978MHz Universal Access Transmitter designed for Experimental and Light Sport aircraft to meet the ADS-B out  requirements.

The Beacon integrates all essential components inside an antenna shaped casing that mounts on the outside of the aircraft. The simpler and smarter design makes for a less  invasive product, minimizing installation time and cost, addressing pilot’s biggest challenges  when trying to comply with the 2020 mandate. It will be available for purchase in late July at  the 2017 EAA Airventure show.

Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) system is the next  generation of air traffic control. It allows pilots to broadcast their position to  both ground stations and other aircraft around, making aviation safer.  Aircraft owners that do not have compatible avionics are then  forced to upgrade their panels and invest in new technology just to  be able to meet the mandate. The Beacon addresses this problem  and allows EA pilots to have an all-in-one solution that eliminates  the need to upgrade avionics AND its smart design allows Levil to  cut on production costs, making it available to consumers at a  lower price than any existing solution in the market today.

Levil Aviation always strives to enhance our current products by always looking for ways to add functionality  and usefulness to the instruments we manufacture. As a company that is owned and operated by pilots, for  pilots, we try to add features that we feel would make the overall flying experience safer, informative, and  fun.

Why the Beacon as your ADS-B OUT solution?

  • It allows pilots to broadcast their position to both ground stations and  other aircraft around, making aviation safer.
  • Allows EA pilots to have an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need  to upgrade avionics.
  • Available to consumers at a lower price than any existing solution in the  market today.
  • Minimized installation time and cost with an integrated circuit board,  altimeter encoder, WAAS GPS, and wireless sniffer.
  • Combining low cost, easy installation, and practicality make the Beacon one of the top competitors in the ADS-B  market.
