The Commercial Spaceflight Federation Announces New Partnership

Joins Forces With The Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program

The Commercial Spaceflight Federation is honored to partner with the Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program to help create opportunities for the next-generation in the commercial spaceflight industry. The Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship Program connects exceptional college juniors, seniors, and graduate students with paid, summer internships in the exciting field of commercial spaceflight, as well as with notable aerospace leaders for mentorship – many of whom are part of the CSF community. The fellowship will culminate in a summit that will allow the Fellows to meet their peers and network with industry leaders.

The Fellowship was created in memory of accomplished space entrepreneur and previous CSF Associate Director, Matthew Isakowitz. The Fellowship is designed to provide career training opportunities to students who embody Matthew's passion for exploring our universe and opening the space frontier as enabled by innovators and entrepreneurs, a foundation shared by CSF and its member companies.

“Matthew’s spirit and commitment to furthering commercial space are clearly reflected in CSF’s mission, and it is an honor to be a founding Fellowship partner and sponsor an internship in his memory,” said Eric Stallmer, CSF President.

Applications for the Fellowship are now open and students who meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply:

  • At the time of application, are college juniors, seniors, or graduate students who intend to pursue a full-time career in the commercial spaceflight industry.
  • Have either earned an engineering degree or are working towards one at the time the Fellowship begins.
  • Are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents (green card holders) due to export control regulations at the host companies.
