Aspen avionics is a growing and innovative company, so ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, seizes the opportunity at EAA AirVenture 2015 to talk with the president and CEO of Aspen Avionics, John Uczekaj.
Jim hits a lot of topics in this discussion and starts off with Aspen’s angle of attack (AOA) indicating system. Their system is unique and Jim asked how they could obtain certification so quickly. Uczekaj responded that the FAA is hot on the issue of loss of control, and that helped push the certification through on this most valuable system.
The video also gives you a chance to see the synthetic vision system being worked on by Aspen. This system works hand-in-hand with the AOA to provide awareness and added safety for the pilot. As these innovations are reviewed you’ll get a chance to see them in operation in the video.
Also discussed is the recent expansion of Aspen, some of their other products, the NextGen Fund, and issues surrounding the 2020 requirement for ADS-B. In this video you’ll hear Jim asking the questions that you might ask and getting straight answers from Aspen’s CEO.
