Improved Datasets, Enhanced Navigation Allows Operators to Track Service Provider Adherence to Safety Programs
NATA has officially launched an online directory to gauge the participation of FBOs and airports in "leading industry safety programs."
The National Air Transportation Association launched the Safety 1st Verify in order to give interested customers an easy, one-stop spot to see who participated and maintains standards as a part of "Safety 1st, IS-BAH, Safety 1st Clean, and Fuel QC Management System." The Safety 1st directory is a continuation of an older dataset from the NATA, the FBO Status Map, that offers improved search and filtering actions as well as more robust operational and facility information.
“Empowering aviation business safety is NATA’s core mission, and Safety 1st Verify serves as a valuable tool for operators, pilots, schedulers, and dispatchers to make more informed decisions on FBOs and airports,” stated NATA executive vice president Ryan Waguespack.
In addition to the new safety push, NATA has announced a project in association with FuelerLinx, an "aviation fuel planning and tankering software system that enables operators to optimize flight operations, automate the fuel purchasing process, and reduce operating costs in one easy-to-manage interface."
The FuelerLinx program allows customers to use their FBO Manager to sort FBOs by their NATA Safety 1st status, enabling a more encompassing view of a facility's operations. That capability allows customers to record and track transactions completed at FBOs in the NATA, useful for auditing and record-keeping needs to ensure their operations adhere to given safety standards.
“As the industry continues to modernize, aviation business professionals are seeking as much flight scheduling detail as possible. NATA is pleased to bring safety to the forefront of the decision-making process,” added Waguespack.
