Phoenix East Aviation Joins United Aviate

Phoenix East Aviation Turns 50, Celebrates Addition To United Aviate Program

Phoenix East Aviation (PEA), a flight training center based at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) in Florida, on its 50th birthday, has announced a partnership with United’s Aviate program to supply pilots to the commercial airline carrier.

Mr. Kristoffer Johnson, CEO & President at PEA stated “we are proud to provide this excellent opportunity for the flight students and instructors attending PEA” and that by matching “the professional pilot training we provide… a clear career progression into the cockpit at United Airlines.”

United Aviate’s career pathways offer pilots at all stages of their journey the most direct path to flying for United. The Aviate program also provides coaching and development for pilots to mold them into leaders who should exemplify a professionalism, level of excellence and commitment to providing safe, caring, dependable and efficient service that United expects from its pilots. Mr. Bryan Quigley, United’s Senior VP of Flight Operations added “we are excited about our partnership with PEA. The Aviate program depends on outstanding partners to train the highest quality aviators in becoming the next generation of United pilots.”

Once enrolled, some benefits candidates can expect include PEA’s professional pilot flight training, an interview with United, travel privileges, opportunity to fly with United Express partners, and the ultimate goal of transitioning to United Airlines.

Phoenix East Aviation has been in business since 1972, and has conducted an International Pilot Training Academy for many years. It offers traditional and accelerated training with its main campuses located in the greater Daytona Beach Florida area. Its fleet consists of Diamond DA42 and Cessna 172 aircraft, a Super Decathlon, and Redbird Flight Simulators, and it has about 50 instructors on staff.
