American Legend Bringing Its FloatCub To Lakeland

Will Be Displayed At Winter Haven Seaplane Base

American Legend Aircraft Company announced Wednesday plans to base its FloatCub at Jack Brown's Seaplane Base during the upcoming 2006 Sun 'n Fun Annual Show in Lakeland, FL. The FloatCub is an all-new Legend Cub two-place aircraft, equipped with Baumann floats.

From April 4-10, the Legend FloatCub will be available for viewing and demonstration at Jack Brown's Seaplane Base (F57), located on Winter Haven Airport (KGIF) on the adjacent Lake Jesse. Bachman Aviation, a factory-authorized service center for the Legend Cub, will be the point of contact.

On April 7, the Legend FloatCub will also be participating in the Sun 'n Fun Splash-In. This event takes place on Lake Parker in Lakeland, six nautical miles northeast of the main Sun 'n Fun show at Lakeland Linder Field (KLAL).

The Legend Cub is a two-place, single-engine piston-powered aircraft designed to meet Light-Sport Aircraft certification requirements. It has an empty weight of 870 lbs, and is propelled by a 100-horsepower Continental O-200 engine with electric start. Equipped with optional floats, the aircraft is capable of water takeoffs and landings.
