Where's Waldo?

Probably On A Smoke Break

"No! Wait!" were probably one airport worker's words as he watched the cargo hatch close behind him at General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee. Too late, he was bound for Philadelphia (PHL). According to the Associated Press, one second, he was loading a wheel chair and the next, he was locked inside the pressurized and heated cargo hold of a Boeing 717 for the almost 2 hour flight.

"He knew where it was going," said Carol Skornicka, a spokeswoman for Midwest Airlines. "He tried to get somebody's attention, but it didn't work." "When it landed, he jumped out of the airplane and asked for a cigarette."

Other employees closed the door on him because they didn't see him. Midwest Airlines will be reviewing their procedures in light of this incident.

The employee later flew back to Milwaukee, this time in the passenger compartment. Despite being "a little stressed", he wanted to finish his shift.  He was told to go home and rest.
