Raytheon Aircraft, NetJets Sign Long-Term Maintenance Agreement

NetJets Adds Two Hawker 800XPs To Order

Raytheon Aircraft and NetJets Inc. have signed a 10-year maintenance contract for Hawker 1000, Hawker 800XP and Hawker 400XP business jets in the NetJets’ fleet.

The contract, with options beyond the initial 10 years, will provide NetJets with full maintenance for the three aircraft types. Hawker 1000 and 800XP heavy maintenance work will be performed at the Hawker Service Center in Little Rock, Ark., and Raytheon Aircraft Services, located in Tampa (FL) will handle such service for the Hawker 400XP.

In addition, the maintenance agreement covers NetJets’ aircraft-on-ground resolution and light line maintenance at NetJets and Raytheon Aircraft Services facilities.

“This contract makes Raytheon Aircraft a strategic partner with NetJets and ensures they receive the best support in the business,” said Jim Schuster, Chairman and CEO of Raytheon Aircraft. “Our service work will allow NetJets to operate their Hawkers at maximum efficiency while minimizing downtime.”

“Raytheon’s commitment to responsive customer service and improvement were key factors in our decision,” said NetJets President Bill Boisture.  “What NetJets offers is guaranteed availability, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we need a superb service organization to back us up.”

In December, NetJets placed an order for 50 new Hawker 400XP light jets and eight new Hawker 800XP mid-size jets from Raytheon Aircraft with a total value in excess of $360 million.  Since then, NetJets added two more Hawker 800XPs to the order, bringing total value to more than $385 million.

The order included an option for an additional 50 Hawker 400XP aircraft, bringing the total potential value to more than $600 million.  As a result of this order the Hawker 400XP will become NetJets’ new entry-level fractional aircraft ownership offering.  The 10 Hawker 800XPs will join the 75 Hawker 800XPs and Hawker 1000s already in NetJets’ fractional aircraft ownership program.

Deliveries of the Hawker 400XP will begin in 2004 and continue through 2009.  The first Hawker 800XP was delivered in December 2003 and deliveries will continue through 2005.

Raytheon Aircraft designs, manufactures, markets and supports Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft for the world’s commercial, military and regional airline markets.
