Vector Signs Agreement With Gulfstream International Airlines

Five-Year Deal For MRO Services On Beech 1900D Fleet

A service agreement for engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) has been signed between Vector Aerospace Corporation and Gulfstream International Airlines (GIA), based in Dania Beach, FL.

Under the terms of the five-year agreement, Vector will provide GIA with comprehensive engine repair and overhaul support for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67D series engine from its Engine Services-Atlantic facility located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. "Gulfstream, which acts as a continental connection carrier for Continental Airlines, takes pride in its reputation as a trusted and reliable flight services provider," said Darrell Richardson, Chief Restructuring Officer of GIA. "Our airline operates a fleet of 23 Beechcraft 1900D aircraft with scheduled and charter services to Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. We are confident that Vector will provide exceptional repair and overhaul service for Gulfstream’s fleet of engines."

"We are very pleased with the confidence and trust demonstrated by GIA to deliver to their exceptionally high standards of quality and customer service," said John MacDougall, Vector’s Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. "We are confident that our years of experience and success in providing comprehensive Pratt & Whitney Canada-approved engine and accessory repair, overhaul and test services will enable Vector to deliver exceptional value and benefit to GIA and its customers.”

MacDougall elaborates on the scope of the agreement, explaining that it includes repair, hot section inspections, modifications, overhaul and test support for GIA’s fleet of Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, a highly reliable and versatile aircraft which utilizes the PT6A-67D series engine.
