Canada Opens New Space Boutique

CSA And Museum Make Official Products Available To The Public

Just in time for holiday shopping, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and the Canada Aviation and Space Museum announced have signed an agreement making the Museum the authorized supplier of CSA products, including products associated with Expedition 34/35, in which Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will be participating.

Starting next month, Canadians can obtain these items either at the Museum's Aeronautica Boutique in Ottawa or online via the virtual boutique.

"Set to launch on December 19, 2012, Expedition 34/35 will be the first mission in which a Canadian astronaut has taken part since 2009. It will go down in our country's history books as the first time that the International Space Station has a Canadian commander. All Canadians will be able to celebrate this unique event by purchasing mission and CSA products from the Canada Aviation and Space Museum's virtual boutique," announced Steve MacLean, President of the Canadian Space Agency.

"The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is proud to work with the Canadian Space Agency here in Ottawa and to help instill pride in all Canadians for the fabulous work being done in space and here at home. We are always looking at ways to extend and enrich the visitor's experience and being able to offer unique products from the CSA does just that. They can wear badges and use other products with pride in the work that is being done by Canadians for Canadians and the world," said Mr. Stephen Quick, Director General, Canada Aviation and Space Museum.

Canadians wishing to purchase CSA items can do so either at the Museum's Aeronautica Boutique located at 11 Aviation Parkway, Ottawa, or by visiting the virtual boutique.
