Bombardier Business Aircraft Has Delivered 96 Business Jets Year To Date

Third-Quarter Deliveries And Backlog Highlight Strength Of Product And Services Portfolio

Bombardier Business Aircraft has announced strong order and delivery performance for the three months ending September 30, 2018. The announcement was made in conjunction with the annual NBAA convention in Orlando, Florida, where the company is displaying its newly-certified Global 7500 jet, smooth-flying Global 6000 aircraft, industry-delivery-leading Challenger 350 and Challenger 650 jets, and performance-leading Learjet 75 aircraft.

For the quarter ending September 30, 2018, Bombardier led all manufacturers by delivering 31 business jets in the segments where it competes. Third-quarter deliveries include four Learjet, 20 Challenger and seven Global aircraft, bringing the year-to-date total to 96. This strong performance represents more than 70 percent of Bombardier’s planned business aircraft deliveries for the year.

The company further announced that its Business Aircraft segment’s industry-leading backlog rose to approximately $14.3 billion as at September 30, 2018. The company also confirmed the continued growth of its services offering and international footprint.

“This quarter’s delivery and backlog performance is a true reflection of the breadth and quality of Bombardier’s second-to-none aircraft portfolio,” said David Coleal, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Our Global jets top the industry in range, size and smooth ride, our Challengers are best-selling and our Learjet aircraft have the best performance in the light category.

“We are seeing strong demand for our Global aircraft family rivalled only by the continued strong performance of our Challenger franchise, which we estimate outperformed each competitors’ medium-category deliveries by a ratio of 5 to 1 or higher in the third quarter,” Coleal added.
