Chinese General Aviation Company To Acquire A New Bell 407GX
Bell Helicopter has signed a purchase agreement with Xinjang Tianyun General Aviation Company for a new Bell 407GX, further increasing Bell Helicopter’s presence in China. The aircraft will be used for sightseeing tours, VIP transport and agriculture support.
“We are excited to help Xinjang Tianyun continue to expand their footprint within the region,” said Chris Jaran, managing director for Bell Helicopter in China. “The Bell 407GX combines proven performance with a modern glass cockpit, giving Xinjang the flexibility to handle a number of mission types with this aircraft safely and effectively.”
The Bell 407GX delivers power and speed with a smooth, quiet ride and a spacious cabin that accommodates six passengers. The aircraft features the Garmin G1000H flight deck, providing critical flight information at a glance for greater pilot situational awareness and increased safety.
The Bell 407GX will be the company's first helicopter. “It is incredibly durable and versatile, exactly what our company was looking for to fit the types of missions we are planning,” said Mr. Zhu Yue, executive director and founder of Xinjiang Tianyun GA.
The Bell 407GX flight deck's high resolution LCD screens host primary flight and multi-function display information, including Helicopter Terrain Avoidance Warning System, Helicopter Synthetic Vision Technology, Traffic Information Systems and more. The 407GX also features a tail rotor camera, allowing the pilot a clear view of the tail during take-offs and landings.
