Bristell Powers 2013 ANN's USSAE/Sebring Special Event Coverage

USSAE/Sebring 2013 Sponsor: BRISTELLusa

One of the most recent LSAs to come on the market, the Bristell was introduced in September, 2011. The all-metal low-wing airplane was designed by Milan Bristela and is manufactured by BRM Aero in the Czech Republic. It may look familiar, but the Bristell maximizes what people liked about the current crop of low-wing sport flyers into one new airframe.

Bristell is the product of designer Milan Bristela, already well-known for previous efforts LSAs. But the Bristell is an attempt to go those designs 'one better' and incorporate the experiences he has had with those previous airframes in this updated design

Powered by a 100 hp Rotax ULS engine, the Bristell has a published cruising speed of 117 knots, and a 34 gallon tank gives the airplane a range of over 800 miles in under six hours.

The cabin is spacious, and the useful load of over 616 pounds gives you the opportunity to pack more than just a small overnight bag.

But even with its high performance, the airplane is considered an ideal trainer for flight schools. Longer and wider than LSAs of similar design, the Bristell is very stable and easy to handle even in slow flight.

Lighter, studier, long-legged and fast with a big cabin and high useful load. The Bristell is worth considering for new and experience pilots alike.
