Beechcraft King Air 250 Achieves EASA Certification

HBC Says European Deliveries Will Begin 'Very Soon'

EASA has certified the Beechcraft King Air 250, the latest derivative of the turboprop Beechcraft King Air line. The Beechcraft King Air 250 received FAA certification in June 2011, followed by type certification from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC) in November.

“We’re looking forward to starting deliveries of the King Air 250 in Europe very soon,” said Sean McGeough, president, Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Its versatility has made the King Air a popular choice in the European market for decades. In fact, according to EUROCONTROL, the King Air B200 series has been the most flown business aircraft in Europe over the last four years. Now, as a result of HBC’s customer-focused engineering, the King Air 250 is even more attractive to operators in the region – delivering substantial improvements in takeoff performance while increasing speed, range and climb.”

The King Air 250’s new features include composite winglets that improve efficiency in all phases of flight, composite propellers that provide new aerodynamic technology and lighter weight, and engine induction modifications that contribute to its increased performance.
