'Pimp My Plane?' MTV Producers Eye Aviation

Oh, Yikes.

Perhaps you've seen it -- a program on MTV called, "Pimp My Ride." In it, a crew of automotive make-over experts from West Coast Customs take an ugly old jalopy and turn it into a dream ride.

Well, it seems cars aren't the end of the story. Now, the producers are thinking about a show that the Dallas Morning News says can only be called, "Pimp My Plane."

Really.

"We're in the process of talking to an owner. We've never done an airplane, so we don't know the playground yet," said Tito Arteaga, president of marketing and public relations for the Los Angeles company, in an interview with the Morning News. "It's a huge canvas to play with."

What might you expect from a show like this? If past experience is any indicator, look for fancy seats (the Morning News suggests alligator as an option), high-end electronics, head-banging sound systems and colors that might glow in the dark or turn your stomach -- or both.

"These are all based on the personality of the person. We sit down with a customer and give them guidance of what might look good for them," Arteaga told the Dallas paper. "What we do really depends on the customer and the feel of the customer."
