Man Arrested For Flying Falcon Jet Without A License

Carried Eight Passengers From Los Angeles To Las Vegas

A man has been arrested in southern California and charged with operating an aircraft in air transportation without a valid airman's certificate.

MyNewsLA.com reports that the charges were filed in federal court in Los Angeles against 36-year-old Arnold Gerald Leto III. He allegedly flew eight passengers aboard a Falcon 10 jet from Van Nuys Airport to Las Vegas despite his airman's privileges revoked earlier this year.

Among the charges faced by Leto are flying the Falcon 10 without the required copilot on board, and not having the proper type rating to fly the turbojet.

He faces a maximum penalty of three years in federal prison if convicted of the charges.

Leto's attorney was not available for comment, according to the report.
