NAFI Defections Continue: Advocate for Aviation Educators Joins SAFE

Will The Last Person At NAFI Please Remember To Turn Off The Lights?

Silas "Cy" Peterson has joined the Society of Aviation & Flight Educators, saying, "SAFE has the right idea regarding membership participation. The organization has some really impressive names on its roster already--some of the best aviation education has to offer."

A retired Northwest Airlines pilot from Northfield, MN, Peterson has long been actively involved with aviation education and served as NAFI Treasurer from 1990 until retiring from the Board in 2004.

SAFE Chair Doug Stewart commented, "We are thrilled to welcome Cy to our organization as charter member number 203--the same number he held with NAFI."

SAFE is a member-driven, member-centric organization that welcomes everyone who is involved in aviation education at any level. Consistent with its motto, "We're all about our members," all SAFE Directors are elected by a direct vote of the membership.
