Stephan Brown Resigns As President And CEO Of The CAF

Board Will Begin A Search For His Replacement Immediately

Stephan C. Brown has resigned from his post as president/CEO of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) effective August 17, 2017.

Brown provided 10 years of dedicated service, leading the CAF through a transitional period and is responsible for significant accomplishments, including establishing the CAF headquarters in Dallas and initiating a campaign to construct an aviation attraction museum to be built at Dallas Executive Airport.

Former CAF vice-president of safety, maintenance and operations, Robert Stenevik will serve as CAF president/CEO until a permanent president is identified. Stenevik, who recently retired from his CAF position, has extensive knowledge and experience with the organization and will be able to efficiently step into the position.

The General Staff, the CAF's board of directors, will commence searching for a new CAF president immediately. Board Chairman Doug Rozendaal said, “Steve Brown has given the CAF many years of enthusiastic service. We owe him gratitude and praise for his many accomplishments. We wish him the best of luck in future endeavors. Moving forward, the board recognizes the importance of the CAF’s dedicated supporters and passionate membership. We will focus on finding leadership dedicated to continuing that long CAF tradition and are unanimous in our commitment to accomplishing the CAF National Airbase initiative.”

No reason was given for his departure.
